This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the lake. The campsites are well maintained and there are showers and washrooms available. The hosts of 30 years are very friendly and helpful, and have many stories to share. The main house is a wonder, too- worth having a peak inside and a coffee and morning chat. There is wifi as well, which works best near the house. Highlights include a flock of 50 white Pelicans and about 30 Coots on the lake, enjoying the sunshine on the dock and wrap-around deck, and hanging out with Boots and Oscar, the friendly border collies!

My Grandfather Edward Escott dreamed of a place he and his friends could get together and enjoy the fishing and hunting. After selling his tug boat business in Vancouver, he set his dreams into motion, and created the first Escott Bay Resort . The small lodge, 4 really nice cabins and the fish gutting shack ( to keep safe from the flies.) I”ll always remember the smell if the fish smoker. He never got to get out with his friends, poor health stopped from joining him. Many a glass of whisky and pacs of Sportsman smokes were enjoyed upon thier return though. Upon his passing, my uncle & auntie took over in the early 70’s. It gas now become an incredible world class destination to be enjoyed by all. Thanks for keeping my Grandfathers dream alive. Ms .
