Fraser Cove Campground offers a pristine, riverside retreat with stunning natural scenery and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the clean facilities, excellent location, and friendly owners who elevate the no-frills basic experience.
I really liked this place. I was a bit nervous after looking at it on google maps, and thought it looked like a quarry. But no, it was superbly atmospheric, with a rapidly flowing river below and the photos I took there were among the most striking of our 3 week RV holiday in Canada. Yes, there's only 1 shower, but there's a reason for that (next to a river) and it's not crowded so you don't wait long. Pitches are good, power and water available. I liked Lillooet - quite basic but had a good feel to the place. No frills, but then I like no frills. We watched local First Nation fishermen starting out on their salmon fishing, using the rocks nearby.
This is a great campsite. There was a full sign out front, but since I was tent camping I tried it anyways and there was a tent site for me to use. It seems that every detail has been thought of so you’ll have everything you need here. It was nice to have a warm shower too. Everything was clean, and extremely well maintained. The owner is very friendly, helping people get settled and really knowledgeable about the local area. If I’m back in the area, I’ll certainly try this place first.
Very beautiful campground right by Fraser River and off the main road. It even has a sandy breach with some chairs to sit in. Had a very friendly welcome by Peter who recommended a walk into town. If you like walking, it's an easy 30min hike one way over the old bridge (look for an osprey nest) from where you might be able to see people fish. The campground has pit toilets and coin showers - everything is clean and in very good shape. A dishwashing station is also available close to the sites. Also wifi!
Peter was really friendly and helpful after we messed up our booking. Peaceful spot with everything you need and beautiful views of the Fraser River. Free wine tasting at the local vineyard through the campsite
What an unbelievable camp site! We stayed two nights and could have stayed another 20. The facility is pristine and well maintained. The location is phenomenal, right on the river with its own private beach! The owners are lovely and make you feel so welcome. Dawn organised a VERY last minute afternoon fishing trip with River Monsters and WOW. The trip was epic and very appreciative to Dawn for making that happen! If you’re travelling through BC this is a must and I’d recommend staying a few nights!
We stayed here for one night. The campsite is beautifully situated right on the river with a fantastic view. We received a very friendly welcome. Wood can be purchased on-site for CAD 10.00. Electricity and water are available, but no dumping is possible. We really enjoyed it.
