Little Black Bear Lodge offers a tranquil lakeside retreat with stunning views and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the delicious homemade breakfasts, comfortable accommodations, and beautiful natural surroundings. However, past experiences indicate potential issues with responsiveness during unforeseen circumstances like wildfire evacuations.

Beautiful location and lookout over the lake! Maya and Jürg welcomed us very friendly and we felt right at home. The rooms aswell as the kitchen were well equipped. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which Maya made herself. Thank you for this amazing stay!!?

This place is paradise. I am so thankful that the warm hosts Maya & Jürg shared this place with my mom and me. We stayed there in August 2022. The breakfast was so delicious. We enjoyed it on their balcony with a breathtaking view of the peaceful nature. The highlight is the house's own jetty on the lake.

Terrible customer service!! We booked a stay at the Lodge for this past weekend (July 16-19, 2021), but were not able to get there due to wildfires and road closures in the BC interior. The Little Black Bear Lodge refused to refund even part of the cost of the three days we had booked, even though we notified them as soon as we became aware of the problem (3 days prior). Some of the fires were very close to Bridge Lake, and even though the Lodge was accessible from some directions (from the east), it was not accessible from the location we were in prior to our planned stay there (we would have had to travel through the Chilcotin on Highway 20, which had closed). The Lodge was also not easily (or advisably) accessible from our home (Vancouver) at the time we would have been travelling (on the 16th) even if we had not been further north on the coast before our planned trip to Bridge Lake). With "do not travel" warnings along Highway 97 between Clinton and 5km south of 100 Mile House, the access to the turnoff to Highway 24 (and Bridge Lake), and with evacuation warnings all around the region (including Sheridan Lake, just to the west of Bridge Lake), they should have refunded at least the majority of the cost. No one should be required to drive into a region surrounded by fires that could have become worse with very little notice (to quote the Drive BC warning for highway 97 from the day we would have been travelling there: "Travel not recommended, may close again at a moments notice"). We are very unhappy with the feedback from the Lodge owners, who say that none of this is their problem.

Slightly elevated is the beautiful house of this B&B located. One is fully in the nature and enjoys a beautiful view over the lake. In the evening we even saw deer around the house. After a warm welcome we were shown the room. Very clean with many small details like fruits, water bottles, own kitchen, a large selection of games as well as a large living room to relax. The stay was very pleasant. We booked the breakfast and were surprised with a large buffet. Beside a Rösti there were fine scrambled eggs, fine cheese and many kinds of fruits and muesli. The stay exceeded our expectations by far and we can warmly recommend this B&B.

Wonderful experience. We had a family wedding in the area and we used the whole B&B .Maya the owner was wonderful so thougthful. The view from every room is fabulous. It was like being in your own home there is nothing you could think of that wasn't supplied.
