An adventure in a barnyard! I really enjoyed my one night stay in the Groom's Barn. The friendly animals, the cozy room, the lights at night really made this a lovely experience.
Such a fun time and the wreath quality is so good!
Was a neat experience, not totally what I expected. I thought there would be more animals and a chance to get close to them, but we only were able to get close to the donkeys through the fence and the horses and alpacas were in a field a far distance away from where we could see. We also thought there was going to be birch syrup tasting, but it wasn't going on when we were out there, but it may have happened later in the day. Very neat little setup they have and cool to see. Was just not what we were expecting.
I can't stop revisiting this place! I enjoy the fresh air, quiet, and well supervised and organized work both on Moose Meadows lands, but also in the surrounding forests, collecting birch sap for syrup, or tipping cedar, interior Douglas fir, or subalpine fir bows for Christmas wreath making. Above all, Ted and Heloise are cordial, light hearted and so wise around their operations and eager to share their incredible depth of experience on the Land. A must visit! ~ Scotty Moon
