8 months agoI have stayed at countless roadside motels for work all across the prairies/BC and the Round Up is truly such a gem. The rooms are perfectly clean & incredibly well stocked with anything a person traveling for work could need (coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishes, cutting board, etc). If I’m ever back in the area, I know to call Paul at the Round Up Motel

9 months agoLast-minute stop due to heavy thunderstorms discouraging a camping trip. Overall, it was okay. What we liked: - Right off the highway but seems like a safe area. - The service was very good - The room was very clean - Very good selection of TV channels, including APTN What needs work: - Beds felt worn out and not comfortable - The people in the room next to us were very loud during quiet hours - The AC unit did not work well, it was very warm in there all night. - The wifi did not work well

10 months agoVery clean and comfortable, with all the basics covered, and I appreciated that even though I was arriving late, the owner stayed up to make sure I was checked in. I would definitely stay here again.

10 months agoI don't normally do 5:star reviews, but this is a place that truly deserves it. The rooms are standard motel style, but they're impeccably cleaned and feature all the amenities one might ask for a short stay. The staff are courteous and kind. I was stranded in town due a damaged transmission and I was offered a very fair rate and an elastic check out time as I was, well, stranded. But it's not just my own situation that was notable. I saw the front desk offer a bottle of water to a departing traveler on a motorcycle so that they could use it on their trip. It's just the small acts of courtesy and kindness that you so often see monetized instead. Also there wasn't much noise in the hotel, and the curtains are excellent at blocking the light of morning coming in when I wished to sleep in.

almost 2 years agoPaul is amazing. Rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. Paul upgraded us to a suite with a full kitchen.( If you have a family or are traveling in a group it’s 2 separate rooms with a sliding door.) Could have stayed longer and had all the comforts of home. We had an unexpected change of plans and Paul was kind enough to also accommodate a late check out. I can’t say enough kind words about him and our stay. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. If you’re looking for a clean, comfy, and safe place to stay I highly suggest the Round up.
