This historic golf resort offers affordable rates and scenic views, but it is currently experiencing inconsistent service and maintenance issues due to a transition in ownership and renovation efforts.
I went during the off season during November so I can't speak much to the golfing and other outdoor amenities, but the rooms were a great value during this time! Check in is between 3PM and 5PM, if you miss that window you have to call the number on the door for service, which I had to do 2 or 3 times before they picked up. Bit of a heart stopper after driving 14 hours and realizing you might be out of a room! Check out was the same even though they were technically open I had to call the number to get someone to come unlock the front door and check me out. I guess it's a bit of a staff shortage so I can't blame them but definitely not a traditional motel/hotel experience. As for the rooms they seemed to be clean and well kept but very dated decor wise. Only issues I had were the water pressure and temperature for the showers were quite weak and the room got a bit chilly at night and hovered around 19-20°C for most of the time I was there despite the thermostat being cranked and it only being about 0°C outside. Baseboard heaters seem to barely be able to keep up. Overall an effective and affordable place to rest your head for a few nights if you are passing through or visiting family but don't expect A-Tier comfort or service.
Since Erin has taken over management I have seen many great improvements around the resort. Both Erin and Kally are always smiling, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Can’t wait to see what other improvements the new management has in store.
I came down and booked a campsite over looking the course like I always do a few times a year. This year the I showed up and someone else was using my power and water so I walk back up to the hotel. I had to ring the bell like 10 times to get someone to help me. When the lady finally showed up I said someone is using my power and water and they said oh that’s Anthony with essential services. I’ve driven 4 hours and had to wait while they wrangle him up and finally get my stuff. They then started to tell me as they are unhooking the water to the golf course bathrooms that they want to tell me what’s going on with the golf course manager. They said they don’t clean the bathrooms anyways so they don’t need the water, meanwhile it is a 5 minute walk to go up to the hotel to use the facilities which were dirty, full garbages and no toilet paper. I was happy to visit the resort when the old manager worked. This new one is not good at all, only cares about fighting with the golf course manager and gossiping about them. Hotel conditions were worst I’ve seen. Will visit the golf course but not the hotel again.
Touted as a place where "luxury meets leisure" is stretching the truth more than a little bit. The beds were comfortable but everything else was very dated with obvious water damage in the bathrooms. One of the 2 rooms that we reserved had a shower that was not very clean. We also thought we would have access to a pool and tennis. Pool was empty. Tennis courts were non-functional. We had reserved a two queen room that was changed to a King with pullout. The pullout had no sheets or blankets. No extra pillows, towels for 2 guests not 3. etc. etc.
The 108 Mile Ranch Golf Course is a beautiful, well-maintained course with scenic views of rolling hills, tall pines, and nearby lakes. The fairways are in great shape, and the greens roll true. It’s challenging enough for seasoned golfers but still welcoming for beginners. The staff are friendly, and the clubhouse has a relaxed, welcoming vibe with good food and drinks. If you’re traveling through the area or looking for a peaceful round in nature, this course is well worth the stop. Thanks from Vancouver Asbestos Removal Team
We just wrapped up our annual two-day stay at the 108 Golf Resort, and I have to say the positive changes this year were impossible to miss. The hotel is getting much-needed repairs, the new bedding is fantastic, and the lobby has a beautiful new look. The new management team went above and beyond to make sure my wife had the best birthday possible, and we couldn’t be happier. It was also great to finally have a brand-new ice machine after several years without one, and our room even had a new AC unit, a lifesaver during the heat wave. We can see that many areas are being upgraded, which is exciting for the future. We’ve been coming here for decades (we actually got married at the resort 25 years ago!) and have seen the property go through its ups and downs, especially in the last six years. While rates have gone up without many new amenities, the improvements this year are a promising sign. If we could share a few suggestions for the future, they would be: Repair the pool Keep up regular landscaping Hire more staff Replace the front sign Add bathrooms to the camping sites Bring back continental breakfast One concern we did have was with a staff member in the pro shop who had a poor attitude and was overheard speaking negatively about the hotel and guests to a couple in their black and red golf cart outside the pro shop before they all laughed and went their way. That’s not the kind of impression we hope to see here. This resort is truly a diamond in the rough, and we hope the owners continue investing in its potential. We love this place and plan to keep coming back each year.
Very good place to relax and enjoy nature with great scenery. Even though the resort looks old, but it is under renovation. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The front desk, Erin and Kally were incredibly friendly and professional. The great service truly made all the difference, and I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
It's a small town golf course and isn't very lively. In saying that, it is a great place if you like a chill vibe. This golf course has a nice sloping view, and resides in a place that is dry through summer so expect a crispy course. It is nice taking the kids to the driving range area, it's usually completely empty when we go in evening. Price is very reasonable.
I recently visited this amazing resort, and it was an unforgettable experience! The rooms had breathtaking views. My kids had a blast with all the activities—golf, boating, and even horseback riding. It was the perfect spot for spring break or a summer. It is just a bit far from Vancouver. Otherwise we would love to come more often.
A fantastic spot for golf lovers! The rooms offer stunning views. We lived there two nights. It’s so convenient we can play out of the hotel. They have courses for beginners, making it perfect for all skill levels. Beyond golf, they also offer relaxing spa treatments, massages, and skin care services.
