This remote guest ranch offers a unique, bed-and-breakfast style experience set against stunning scenery with friendly hosts and great activities. Guests consistently praise the relaxing atmosphere and excellent culinary offerings, though visitors should be prepared for a rugged, lengthy dirt road and potentially limited personal attention during self-guided trips.
It was okay. I got to say I think I'd rather go to other guest ranches like Echo Valley Ranch before going here.
Big Bar Guest Ranch is a truly special place — remote, peaceful, and welcoming. We visited with both family and friends and were impressed by everything from the well-stocked lodge to the delicious cake their chef whipped up on short notice. It’s kid-friendly, dog-friendly, and easy on the budget. We felt completely at home and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature.
Amazing views, with semi wild horses on the property, we stayed in the multifamily guest house. There's a fence around it, so the horses can't get in, and the children can safely play. Would recommend to anyone, there's multiple ways to this place also, all worth the drive. We got stuck behind a cattle drive on part of the road for 15km or so, what an experience.
We had our weddding here in 2014 and had such a great time. Our guests also raved about the location, privacy, scenery and horses and animals on the property! It was an epic weekend we all enjoyed thoroughly!
We all loved the place and people.Totally relaxing. Our dogs had the most fantastic free time and were extremely happy. Although, I briefly saw couple of very nice ladies who were preparing the horses to go out, but, I just wished that there was someone to receive us. You are left on your own with no buddy to attend or give you information. I had gone to office several times but no buddy there. Even tried to say good bye but unsuccessful. There are couple of reason for giving 3star: reason one is the above and reason two is the almost 50km dirt road that we had to go to get there. Otherwise, I would have given a 5 star instead of 3
I was at the ranch for 4 days. The rooms are simple and functional. The staff are super nice and always helpful. The restaurant was still closed and I catered for myself. For this I was brought extra a hot plate and pots. Jenna, the manager and my guide for the rides is super and explained me a lot about the landscape. The horses are very well ridden and treated well. I had a lot of fun.
Elise and her staff went put of their way to make our weekend absolutely incredible. The food was fantastic, but the experience was unlike anything else we'd done. Great was to disconnect and just enjoy the space. Hiking, biking and horseback riding are all great ways to explore.
Arrived at the ranch on Friday Sept 30 and stayed until Oct 2. My husband and I were there for a wedding. We enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the owners are very kind people. The food is amazing and so much of it!!! Thank you so much to everyone at Big bar Guest ranch, you made the wedding a great success!! FYI if you are getting married there have them make the cake....it was amazing.
