Tucked away along a scenic, crystal-clear lake, Crooked Lake Resort offers an off-the-beaten-path, rustic retreat populated by equally stunning mountain views and welcoming hosts, Al and Kim. Guests consistently praise the peaceful, family-like atmosphere and the variety of on-site activities, though the location is somewhat remote and the fishing quality is reportedly poor.
My husband and I were there in August for our grandson's wedding. We flew to Williams Lake and then my son picked us up . Long drive but so worth it. The resort is incredible. And the owner's Kim and Al are just lovely people. So welcoming. Our cabin was so nice. And the resort itself so beautiful. The views are amazing. We could clearly see why Arlen and Cassie and their families and friends enjoy this place so much. We are really hoping to get back up there at some point. Can't say enough good things. Loved our few days there. And look forward to seeing Kim and Al and staying there again. Patricia and Steve Dalziel. Surrey.BC
A little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. The views are amazing, the lake crystal clear and the peace and quiet, sublime. We woke every morning to the call of loons. Kim and Al are warm, friendly hosts who made sure our stay at the resort was special. They were very knowledgeable about the area, which was important as out of province visitors. We stayed in our RV, but would opt for a stay in a cabin on our next visit. Thank you Kim and Al for a great stay!!!
My family has been camping in this area for many generations. Kim and Al have done exceptionally work to the resort and have it maintained well. Their hospitality and generosity has been outstanding to all, but especially my family. The drive is worth it because pictures do not due justice to the true beauty of the lake and mountains.
The best $40 dollars you will spend on a camp site per night. Only 8 spots, for camping and 8 cabins to rent, life is not crowded at Crooked Lake resort. The grounds are beautifully kept, power if you want it, showers and proper toilets, fire pits and if needed…the internet. Al, Kim and Dave are very hospitable and super supportive, always checking to make sure all is well. Now, let’s talk about the lake!!! It is so beautiful, crystal clear with mountains all around it. Fishing, boating, swimming and so picturesque. Out on the lake it was hard to tell if I was floating in the sky or floating on the lake as the reflection on the lake was so crazy clear!!! This is a fantastic spot to check out. You will not be disappointed. Crooked lake is such a piece of paradise…
This was our 3rd trip to Crooked Lake Resort. A beautiful Rustic, off the grid location with plenty to do. My husbands family lives around Williams lake and we come up from the states. Our family enjoyed fishing, kayaking even a playground for the kids. Lawn games and playing a family game of canasta in the evening. Beautiful sunsets, sunrises and view of the lake and majestic mountains all around. Hard to pick a favorite but I did enjoy the Loons singing in the morning as we had coffee. Loved the solitude and beauty of the area. The cabins have wood stoves and you have plenty of wood for the early mornings and nights if needed. Different sizes even the huge cabin on the hill that can accommodate a large family gathering. For our family nothing beats being right on the lake If you are lucky you could see a moose swimming across the lake or even a bear and other wildlife. There is lots to do for all kinds of adventures when checking out the web sight. Thank you Al and Kim who own Crooked Lake along with Co Owner who I have forgotten his name. We have felt like family since the very 1st visit and truly love our stay. We pull our 36 ft 5th wheel and the road is rough and slow moving but so worth it. We love seeing the updates each time we come.
We just hosted a 4 night bachelor party at crooked lake, and it genuinely could not have been any better! From staying in the spacious long house to long days fishing on the secluded lake. The owners and staff are absolutely amazing and some of the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Everyone in the party is already talking about when we are going back!
We went for an overnighter right after Christmas to recharge. What a great get away. Kim and Al are very hospitable and you can tell how much they love the place and what they do!
Beautiful lake. You get free use of canoes and paddle wheelers and kayaks. You can walk out very far in the water as it is shallow and slow dropoff. There is Starlink at the lodge free for use. But hopefully you enjoy the serene outdoors and don't use it much. The smaller cabins are rustic but have everything you need including a kitchen, power, fridge running water, showers and beds. But go for the deluxe cabin. It is huge and gorgeous and not that much more and is super deluxe. Trust me, do that one. The fishing isn't great. Lots of tiny guys. There are other lakes around if fishing is your thing. It is mine and this was my one regret. The staff is awesome and friendly. Prices are also really good.
Just got back from a company retreat booked August 16-18 at this beautiful, rustic resort. The company had the whole resort booked for the weekend and it was amazing. Kim and Al are fantastic hosts. You will not find nicer, more accommodating people. There were enough cabins and camp sites to fit our group of 24. They can fit more but that was our group size. We had use of their lodge and kitchen, which worked perfect for everyone to dish up meals and play some group bingo later in the evening! The water was amazing - the views breathtaking! We enjoyed the use of kayaks and canoes as well as a great “old school” playground for the little ones. Recreational trails are abundant! If you want a little slice of heaven - this is the place. Can’t wait to go again next year! Thank you Kim and Al and our amazing Employers for this incredible weekend
Crooked lake is such a lovely hidden gem. I stayed there during mid June and had an incredible time. Beautiful views both on nearby hikes and on the lake. The cabins were cozy and we'll equipped. Kim and Al were incredibly kind and accommodating. Pricing for the cabins and boat rentals were very reasonable as well, truly I can't recommend a better get away.
