Our late summer 2025 stay at Firvale Wilderness Camp was nothing short of unforgettable. We chose Firvale and their incredible team to host our elopement ceremony, and they went above and beyond in every way. From helicopter adventures and rafting alongside bears to some of the best food, warm hospitality, and even an in-house spa, every day felt like magic. What stood out most was how at home we felt — surrounded by a tight-knit group of fellow adventurers and supported by Jen, Bobby and team, who handled every ceremony detail with such care. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Firvale managed to live up to and exceed every single expectation my wife and I had of it. The location, views, experiences, and comfort can’t be questioned, and I cannot fault it in any way. The excursions were incredible, with the heli tour being my personal highlight. Jen and Bobbie were delightful hosts, and made all the guests feel so welcome.

We attended a wedding here in August. While the weather was against us, we still had an amazing experience. The hosts really go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and taken care of. Beautiful views, delicious food, and clean accommodations. We were in the A frame cabin and it was clean, comfy, and well stocked. 100% recommend staying here!

We had our wedding here. It was perfect! They took care of all the details. Wedding "planning" was stress free. Having a weekend to celebrate with friends and family while not having to worry about details was everything we could have wanted. In addition, the two of us stayed for the week for the adventure package. A fantastic way to follow up the wedding! It gave the two of us time together along with a bunch of new great experiences and memories!

If there were a 10 ?? review this should be it! Amazing people, amazing food, amazing accommodations!! This should be Michelin rated…. Hands down. The FOOD OMG! We are pretty picky when it comes to our palates but this was an experience of a lifetime. Jen & Bobby Sherlock are an incredible couple paying attention to detail. We were there for my daughter’s wedding and what an experience!! The flowers were stunning as this venue made all of our Wedding day celebrations memorable. Thank YOU ??

Our trip to Firvale was magical ? We got married here and it was the most beautiful and scenic spot and also such a low-stress wedding to plan! Jen and Bobby took care of everything which was a dream come true for a low-maintenance couple. The flowers, food, cake and accomodations were all amazing. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect! We stayed with our guests for the grizzly package the following week which was such a fun experience. We loved that the Firvale team took care of everything from the unreal food, transportation, and activities. They even took our car in to get our flat tire fixed! We made so many memories on our trip and can’t wait to come back. A must visit!

We had our wedding here at the end of June 2024 with 12 of our closest family/friends and it was by far the most incredible place we could have possibly imagined to do so. Actually, my imagination isn't even good enough to have anticipated this. Weddings in my mind are thought to be stressful, but joyous events - the planning process for this was zero stress (actually) and the joy of the weekend was amplified times a million with the incredible location, endless adventures and home-like ambiance of the camp (not to mention the food, see below). On our wedding day we went rafting and kayaking and the day after we took a boat to local oceanfront hot springs - both absolutely incredible and very cherished memories. The food requires its own paragraph - I think half the weekend was spent by our group talking about the food we had. Chef Stevie's Michelin star is surely on its way - he made the most spectacular meals I have ever had, and I am someone who loves to go out for delicious and luxurious meals. He takes classically sub-par dishes and turns them into show stoppers - in a weekend of 5 star dishes, cornbread of all things was a major highlight. Not to mention the ahi tuna, the filet mignon, risotto balls, the life-changing olive oil cake and easily the most beautiful wedding cake known to man. Jen and Bobby are incredible hosts who have built something that is sure to become a must-stay in BC/Canada/North America. Their two dogs, Frankie and Cutie are the most lovable little guys and a delight to have around. I could go on and on about all the things we loved but surely no one will read all of that. Thank you to everyone at Firvale for making our wildest dreams come true - we will be back as soon as we can!

UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE!!! 11/10 This place is truly magical, a once in a lifetime trip. I cannot say enough great things about this place! The camp itself is stunning. Majestic mountain views from every room, beautiful cozy accommodations with all the amenities. Entering the beautiful main lodge we were greeted with the delicious aroma of freshly baked cookies and warm sourdough bread (baked daily...drool!) I am still dreaming of Chef Stevie's creations. It's difficult to rank what my most favourite part of the trip was but the food was defiantly at the top! I loved sitting down for dinner every night under the beautiful outdoor gazebo and being blown away each time by what Stevie had created. You can really taste the passion and years of dedication he brings to each dish, and don't even get me started on the pizza night....that handmade sourdough crust!!! (everything was either grown right on site in the garden or locally sourced) A+ The daily excursions were FANTASTIC. Such a great variety of activities. These were special experiences I will never forget. All included in the Great Bear Adventure Package we went: - Sailing on the ocean through the fjords to the natural hot springs with Pete from Great Bear Sailing Adventures. The wind picked up on our way home and made for a thrilling sailing experience! - Horseback riding at Thunder Mountain Adventures. Rebecca the owner was a delight and so knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of the Icelandic Horses. Each horse was so happy and well cared for. - Off road Adventure with Joe from Over The Top Adventures. Joe was a wonderful guide, this experience was extremely undersold! We drove up to the alpine for a stop to dip in the lake. It was unlike anything I'd expected. The views were so breathtaking and exceptional it was almost difficult to comprehend that this wasn't a computer backdrop! - Rafting with Kynoch Adventures was a beautifully relaxing adventure where our guides taught us a ton about the local history and wildlife. - the heli tour with West Coast Helicopters was the highlight for me. Our pilot Beau dropped us atop the most spectacular glacial lake and we all did a (very) quick cold plunge! The feeling afterward was spectacular. I felt so fresh and rejuvenated. Again...the VIEWS!! The owners Bob & Jen are such wonderful hosts. You can tell how much love, thought and care has gone into every detail and corner of this place. They've created such an incredible experience for their guests and truly make you feel like home away from home. Even Frankie the dachshund adds the best vibes to the lodge. We stayed in the Bunkhouse Dome and I slept like a rock every single night. The beds were super comfortable and the combination of the fresh mountain air, peace and quiet, and full belly of chef Stevie's fine cuisine after a day of adventure was the perfect way to end each day. I can't simply put into words how much I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for an authentic experience in Bella Coola. What a great way to see a small piece of Canada. I can't wait to one day bring my husband and try the Grizzly Bear Package!

My Mom and I did the Great Bear Adventure Package in June 2023, and it was an profoudly special experience that will stay in my heart forever. Bobby and Jen are kind, friendly and unpretentious, and they made us feel so comfortable and welcome. When we had an unexpected change in our travel plans, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. The scenery in the Bella Coola Valley and surrounding area is absolutely spectacular, and I liked that our package included a wide variety of activities. Every day was different, and I felt like I got to see and do so much in a short period of time. I never felt any of the normal stresses of travel because Bobby and Jen took care of every little detail in our intineries. We stayed in the King Dome, which had a king-sized bed, a sun deck and an outdoor tub. I enjoyed luxurious soaks on the deck with a beautiful essential oil based bubble bath every evening when we came home. Chef Stevie's dishes are as delicious as they are aesthetic, and I savored every bite. His desserts in particular, are so decadent and unique. His passion for cooking and baking shows in all his creations. Brittany is lovely, and she gave us tips and recommendations when we arrived, which we found very helpful. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Koa and Frankie (the dogs) are absolutely adorable, and we loved having them around to pet and play with! I highly recommend Firvale Wildness Camp if you enjoy breathtaking scenery, and are looking for a vacation that is highly stimulating, yet relaxing at the same time. I look forward to returning!

My friend and I had such a wonderful time here! We stayed in A-frame 2 which was ever-so-charming, with an outdoor deep soaker tub on the private deck. Every day ended with a bath under the stars. The days were filled with one or two activities. We saw half a dozen grizzlies or so, with one spectacular viewing of a mom and her two cubs. The vibe of the hosts, Jen and Bobby, and the various tour operators is very down-to-earth and perfect for the stunning location. They have created something really special while staying simple and tasteful. The landscaping and the natural plants complement the cabins and domes beautifully. The vegetable garden supplied part of almost every meal which were all delicious! Overall just fantastic!
