We got married at South Point in September of this year! It was truly everything we could have asked for and more. Planning the event in the many months leading up, Leanne was always very responsive and easy to communicate with. She helped answer all our questions along the way. The wedding itself was beautiful. The venue looked amazing, and it was so special and fun to have so many of our guests be able to stay with us at the resort for the whole weekend. Leanne and the whole team at South Point were absolutely incredible and we would recommend this as a wedding venue for anyone looking for a good time!!

We had our wedding at South Point Resort on Canim Lake this June, and it was absolutely perfect. The location is breathtaking—surrounded by the beauty of the lake and mountains, it created the most stunning backdrop for our special day. The resort itself is charming, comfortable, and felt like the perfect blend of rustic and elegant. The team at South Point went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From helping us coordinate the setup to making sure our guests felt welcome, their care and attention to detail truly made a difference. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful and peaceful the setting was, and we couldn’t agree more. Having our wedding here gave us not just a venue, but an experience we’ll cherish forever. We’re so grateful to South Point Resort for giving us the most beautiful memories of our wedding day—we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to say “I do.” Thank you so much to Leanne & staff!

We recently stayed at South Point Resort for a family reunion. It checked all of the boxes. This resort has something to offer for all types of vacationers. The beachfront campsites were really nice, the condos were recently renovated, and the cabins looked to be in nice shape (I did not go inside). The hosts were pleasant, helpful and always available. If not, they delegated authority to someone else. Showers were coin operated, clean, hot and 5 minutes was plenty for a man. Boat dock was basically brand new and swim dock was in very good shape. Both docks had very stable and safe ladders in/out of lake. There was a creek running through the resort into the lake which occupied the kids with their imaginations. Canim Lake is quite a large lake, its almost like being on the ocean its so big. There is the occasional chop to be aware of. The owners organized a farmers market on one of the days. It was pretty cool to see all the local merchants come to the resort and set up in their event venue. People showed up in boats from around the lake to come to the market. It was really neat to see. If I were to make one suggestion, and I'm only saying this because I am super safety conscious, it might be a good idea to have some sort of controls in place when boaters come to shore with their boats. Maybe some signage to let boaters know about the swimming area to add an extra layer of safety. All in all, this resort is awesome. I will definitely be adding this to our list to stay here again.

We just spent our first holiday at south point resort. The location is fantastic. Fishing was great. Weather was good. We met friends at the resort and we all had fun. We stayed in the condo with our 2 dogs. The condo was clean and well equipped with amenities. We rented a boat while we were there . Our friends camped in their rv trailer. Hosts Bear and Leanne are very nice people . The atmosphere at the resort is very friendly and relaxed. We had heard about the resort from our niece and family who stay there every year. We enjoyed the time there and will definitely plan a return trip. Thanks Bear and Leanne

We had the absolute pleasure of having our wedding at South Point Resort on Canim Lake, and it was everything we dreamed of and more! From the breathtaking lakeside setting to the well-maintained facilities, every detail was perfect. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the team, especially Leanne. She was a true gem—organized, helpful, and incredibly kind. Leanne checked in with us through every step with such care, ensuring the day ran smoothly. If you’re looking for a venue that not only offers stunning views but also exceptional service, South Point Resort is the place to be! We will definitely be back for years to come -our families too.

I got married here in May 2024 and it was absolutely perfect. The cabins and condos are very cute and well kept, the camping sites are great, and the views of the lake from just about anywhere at the resort are stunning. There are some great options for ceremony space, we chose down at the lake next to the creek and it was the perfect setting. Leanne was so helpful with everything for the event and it's clear they really care about this place and are constantly doing upgrades. Amazing place for a wedding weekend, highly recommend!

Beautiful place to camp. We really enjoyed ourselves here. The owners, Leanne and Bear, were super friendly. When we first arrived, we weren't too happy with the location of the site that was assigned to us. It was just too close to other campers. We ask if we could move to a different one. They had no problem with that. The new site was perfect. The camp host Rick and his wife were very friendly and helpful and knew the area very well. They had paddleboards, canoes, fishing boats, and a big pontoon boat for rent to explore this beautiful lake. They also have cabins and suits, which look very attractive if you don't want to RV. There's lots to do here. I wish we had more time.

When the location for our family reunion was cancelled we were devastated. We call South Point Resort with the slim chance of getting in. Leanne went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and we had the time of our lives. So much that we plan to rebook for next year. Sites were great, condos were clean and comfortable, and the staff: second to none. Thank you Leanne, you guys were awesome.

We just spent the weekend at South Point Resort and simply don’t have enough good things to say. The new ownership has made all the difference. The service was exceptional with Leanne making sure our every possible need was taken care of. From bonfires to ice-fishing to snow shoeing to a little fireworks show, we had an exceptional time. The condo was spacious with concrete walls that minimized noise from neighbours. The resort is also pet friendly so next time we will bring our dog. Thank you for making our stay so excellent.
