Amazing team of people at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge. Everyone goes out of their to ensure your stay is as perfect as it can be. The guides are extremely knowledgeable on a range of "nature questions" and are really into what they do. The food is also incredible, kudos to the chef! All up, an incredible experience from pick up to drop off.

A fabulous experience. What stands out is the exceptional staff and deep experience and passion for the area and the wildlife they share. Being close to grizzlies and other wildlife in such a stunning location, with great food and wine are the cherries on top. Remarkable.

We did not stay at the lodge, but we wanted to leave a review and thank you for your help the other day. We were in the area with no connection and needed to know if Highway 20 was open. Zuzanne at the reception went above and beyond to help us. Thank you so much for you kind help, next time we are in the area we will definitely be stopping with you guys.

Incredible setting, amazing, attentive staff, great amenities, fantastic food and wonderful rooms. This was an amazing little getaway that our entire family loved. Riley, Jenn, Ava and Shanti helped make our stay unforgettable. The cabins were perfect. Very clean, well maintained with unparalleled views. The beds were supportive clouds, in the best possible way as someone who usually only likes super firm beds, and the bedding was above average. All of our food and drinks were excellent and our kids loved the games and activities. As an added bonus we had a HUGE grizzly give us a show one evening. We cannot wait to go back. Incredible value when compared to similar properties in other locations. This is a hidden gem!

My husband and I spent a long weekend here for my birthday and from the moment our plane landed on the gravelly runway and we were whisked away to the lodge, we were immersed in something magical. The accommodations are comfortable–rustic, yet modern and luxurious, the staff was attentive, we climbed a via ferrata, and the food was so delicious. I still think about a mushroom couscous dish I ate that was out-of-this-world. Plus, we got to see so many grizzly bears, which I LOVED. Would go again and again!

Stayed here three nights in October. Overall, beautiful lodge with wonderful facilities considering the remote location. The food and drinks were good and I liked that they had a snack station and hot drinks to take away on trips. The bar staff were exceptional. The reason it doesn’t deserve five stars is for the poor value for money and the hospitality of the guides and maintenance staff. First, we had an issue with the outside lights of our cabin, which shone into our room all night. The blinds in the room were too thin but the bar staff on duty did offer us blankets to put over the windows and provided sleeping masks. I understand that lights are essential for safety but making them automatic and having thicker curtains in the rooms is something I would expect for a place that prides itself in providing excellence. The other thing that irked me was the gratuity form that was slipped into our room on our last day. The lodge recommends a tip of CAD 75-100 per guest per day!!! It might be because I come from Europe but I would never expect a place that charges over £1000 per guest per night to ask for this so bluntly. Although, we gave what we thought they deserved, this kind of boldness comes across as rude. This leads me to the final point. The guides at the lodge were variable in their enthusiasm and knowledge. We had one guide who looked like he couldn’t be bothered. He told us that he doesn’t like speaking when going down the river drifts, so we spent our first day feeling awkward. The guide on our second day was friendly and knowledgeable, so at least then we got to learn more about the valley then. Overall, I’d say I’m disappointed with the nature tours here. All we were offered was walks and river drifts. While that in itself is not bad, the level of detail in which they were provided was poor. For the price, I’d also expect a lot more choice in activities and flexibility in timing. We did see some bears, which was cool but that was about it. Although we had a good time and saw some beautiful things, I wouldn’t say this lodge is special considering some of the other places I visited in Canada

Amazing experience! The location can’t be beat. The beauty of the place is stunning and yes, we saw bears. The staff, meals and accommodations were fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely individual log cabins, perfectly located on the river, where bears walk past on a daily basis. Great viewing platform from which you can sit patiently for passing bears. Simple process, unless you are lucky, the longer you wait, the more you will see. There are morning dinghy float excursions and pm walking excursions on each day, giving as good an opportunity to se wildlife. Lunch and dinner are excellent, and breakfast, which is small and functional. Complimentary snacks, tea, and coffee are available all day. Staff are second to none, and nothing is too much trouble. There is also a complimentary 50 min full body massage included and a hot tub. A tip from me would be book the massage when you first get there to get a time you want. There are only 20 cabins so you get to know all other guests very well even if you're only there a few days. We saw bears every day, with a total of 10 sotibgs. (Some of which were from the main lobby window whilst having breakfast and dinner. On these occasions, they were a bit further away, but still lovely to see). We had a fabulous stay and met dome wonderful new friends.

I had a wonderful time at the lodge! The staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating and the cabin was just beautiful! I loved the decoration of the room and it was very clean! The meals were outstanding!!! Our dinner was made exactly to order and we even got to see bears on the lawn while eating! We had the chance to do a rafting trip and the staff was very knowledgeable about bears, salmon as well as nature and the surrounding area. The viewing platform offers a great chance of watching for wildlife and I could have stayed there for hours just enjoying nature! The hot tub and gym are also very clean and you get to enjoy great views of the lodge and the lawn where we had seen the bears. All in all this was a great stay and experience and I can’t wait to go back!!
