Recently visited and booked a trail ride with some girlfriends. The ride was great, the leads were amazing to deal with and very attentive. It was a nice 2hr trail ride, the only thing I would suggest for next time is to have a smaller group at a time, and possibly separate children (maybe to the back of the group), as there were a couple times we were to get up to a canter, but it seemed the kids in front of us were hesitant which prevented our horses behind them from getting up to that speed as to not crowd or pass by them. This impacted our ride slightly as it would have been great as experienced riders to be able to get up to the speed when able to. Other than that the ride and vibe was awesome! Horses were very well tempered. Would definitely go again!

This place looks great on the website, but dig a bit deeper into reviews and you will find out otherwise... I emalied Dimps to find out availability for camping and horseback riding. It took a few days but she eventually responded saying she had availability. I then requested to book the services with her and she completely "ghosted" me!!! I emailed twice and even phoned her. I'm not sure if she had already filled the camping vacancy, or maybe I didn't meet the minimum amount of nights that she requires in order for being granted the camping spot. If this is the case, either way let your potential customers know. A happy customer will tell a few people...but an unhappy customer will tell everyone!!! PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND RESPOND!!!

I used to be a regular here for horseback riding in the 90s and decided to visit since we were in the area and the place is exactly as I remembered it. Dimps is still working away and always a pleasure to chat with. She is still riding the trails daily. We went for the 10am trail ride and it was fantastic. We rode out to a pasture past a lake, and the scenery was great! Depending on your confidence and experience, you get to gallop when the group does and if not you get to trot, which is still fun. The majority of the ride is walking and trotting and you will be in single file being led by Dimps or her ranchers. Other reviews were chapped that you didn't get to go off on your own but this is a trail ride and in a line is how they go. You are not renting a horse to go off on your own, you are riding the trails in a guided fashion. My horse was Bailey and she was wonderful and I even got to gallop a little bit but she didn't want to too much. Overall my girlfriend and I had a blast and we cannot wait to go back. It was her first time and she could not have been happier with the experience. Thank you so much Dimps and Olivia for making her first time amazing.

We were beyond excited to go to Watch Lake Lodge this year. I went as a kid and couldn’t wait to take mine. The cabins are exactly as they were and as they should be. You well your water, cook on a wood burning stove, ride through beautiful scenery and relax at the lake. The boot selection is incredible, the staff is amazing, the store is full of goodies the kids love and you honestly can’t find a more relaxing and beautiful location. It’s the perfect place for a family vacation and to unwind. We can’t wait to go back.

The cabins are works of art , beautiful and pristine. The scenery is spectacular, the horse back riding is the best part of this ideal holiday and the warm greeting and big smiles you'll receive from Dimps , Doreen , Bob, Lori and all of the wonderful people make this somewhere you’ll go back to year after year. We certainly have. The best place for kids and the happiest place for the rest of us who want to ride, hike, cycle, fish , swim, run read, and hang with friends around picnic tables. The cabins are beautifully laid out and comfortable havens for peaceful sleeps. Lots of room to spread out here. Thank you for another great holiday! Like everyone else. We will be back!

My family has been coming up for 4 generations and we absolutely love it up there. The staff are wonderful and the animals to. The cabins are amazing and they have wonderful views of the lake. It’s a home away from home and it’s our favourite place on earth. It’s rustic and cozy and it’s a good place for people who like being outdoors. The horse rides are one of our favourite parts, the horses and staff are amazing and help you ride safely if you are scared. Its the week we look forward to the most and can’t wait to be up there again. Maeve And The Thomas and O’Donohue Family
