Guests consistently rave about the tranquil, pet-friendly atmosphere and the welcoming host family, noting that the rustic charm and beautiful lake views provide a peaceful sanctuary distinct from typical accommodations. The complimentary outdoor activities, including free kayaking and horseback riding, are highlighted as major assets that elevate the guest experience.
We had the best time here on the Wettstone Guest Ranch. We felt welcomed and like home from the very first second. Martin & his Family make everything possible for you to enjoy your stay here. You can feel a lot of heartblood for the ranch and the guests. Drinks together, Kanu and SUP for free use. Your own Jetty to the Lake, great swimming. Optional Horseriding Options, .... The Place is breathtaking, quit, still water. A lot of animalsounds around. Some Horses are free on the whole area. Lovely! We also would recommened the BBQ Night and the delicious Breakfast from Diana. We will definitely come again one day.
Stayed here after trip through the Rockies. Honestly 2 nights not enough, 4 or 5 would have been better. The lake is tranquil and stunning. I had tea in the dock 6am both mornings listening to the loons watching the mist lift off the lake. Great horses for trail ride. Kayaked on the lake too. Good hearty breakfast. Peaceful and beautiful.
This review is for the kids' riding experience. Our family had a wonderful time today! Kids had a chance to help prepare their horse with brushing, cleaning hoofs, and saddling. Then, they got to ride around the beautiful ranch under the guidance of a wrangler who was so kind and patient. This ranch is great for kids!
What a wonderful experience we had at this ranch. We stayed at one of their RV sites for two nights and the site was overlooking the beautiful lake. We enjoyed watching the family of loons which tended to feed by our site in the early evening. Such a quiet and peaceful location. We loved having the horses roam freely around the property and they have chickens, ducks, emus, peacocks and goats to enjoy. We also had free use of their canoes and kayaks and we could harvest berries and some veggies from their garden. Our trail ride on their beautiful horses was so much fun and it was really a very memorable ranch experience. We will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our stay. People are very kind and animals very cute. We hope we could stay there forever! Wonderful experience
The people where lovely, funny and the horses where funny. It's a great place for beginners, as it goes nice and slow. If you ever get Geronimo, he's the best :) Our group was fun, the guide was so sweet and showed us really cool things too. I've seen people complain about the poop, It's a ranch. WITH HORSES; WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!! It's not even that bad!
I really enjoyed my 3 night stay, meeting the lovely family and guests, and the grounded animals. I chose to book the off grid Trapper's Cabin. Kayaks and canoes are free to use on Henley Lake, a smaller lake with cute ducks and 2 loons. I felt adventurous, and did a horseback lesson w Valaurie plus the 2 hr trail ride w Danielle. A memorable experience, thank you ladies!! The Grill Night dinner was 100% my kinda food, local, fresh, and cooked with love. It's a fun night where guests gather together w the family and share stories. What a true sanctuary... one to return to some day.
Stayed at the Wettstone Ranch for two nights and we absolutely loved it! Everyone at the ranch was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cabin we stayed in (Trappers Cabin) was super cute and had an amazing view of the lake. Loved that they had canoes and kayaks to use for free on the lake, and other activities available as well. We will definitely be coming back — would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, serene stay that is a bit off the beaten path.
We absolutely LOVE the trappers cabin! It’s a perfect rustic spot for two. Dinner by candlelight and a warm fire in the winter are some of our favourite things. There is nothing like waking up to a beautiful snow covered lake and a heard of horse! We have stayed many times before and will stay many times to come, winter is definitely our favourite time to stay!
My Mom and I came up for a mother/daughter weekend away and this place well exceeded our expectations! The whole Wettstone family treated us like we were apart of their own family. The Ranch was beautiful and the horses that roam the property make the experience! I did a couple of horse riding lessons from Valerie and her passion and knowledge was extremely impressive. We will be back! :)
