6 months agoThe guesthouse has charming historic vibes and is in a perfect central location in Wells. Every room is super cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax after exploring the area. The kindness of the owners really stood out and made us feel really welcome. I definitely recommend it!

10 months agoGreat stay! Comfy beds, vintage/arty vibes, loads of amenities on site. Easy and scenic walks in Wells. Across the road is Frog on the Bog (get a coffee slammer), Jack o' Clubs pub/general store, and then short stroll into historic Wells for the art galleries, shops, miseum, and Sunset Theatre (hit those shows if you can, they are amazing). We checked out Barkerville too. Incredible weekend/week getaway spot.

almost 2 years agoThe hosts are great! Gave us alot of info about the town and things to do! The cabin was great!! I love all the unique details throughout the cabin…and their store across the street has really great items also!!!

Dave did us so many favours when we unexpectedly arrived to Wells 2 days early before our check in and he was able to help us find alternate accommodations for us to stay in. The place itself is very nice, suited with funky decor and vintage furniture. 10/10 Would stay again! Great hospitality and great atmosphere. Thanks Dave & Cheryl

over 5 years agoAfter deciding "spur of moment" to travel from Kelowna to see Barkerville with my fiancee, we called ahead from Quesnel hoping to find somewhere to stay upon arrival. Luckily, the Mountain Thyme Getaway cottage was free for the night. The cottage is located on the main road in Wells, BC which is about 8km before you get to Barkerville. Growing up in Vancouver and now living in Kelowna, I have to say it was a nice change of pace to be in such a lovely little town. The main road consists of maybe six old historic structures which includes the getaway cottage and right across the road, the Frog on the Bog gift shop. Both owned and operated by two of the nicest people we've ever met in Cheryl and Dave, our experience was so positive that we will definitely be back! The cottage was very clean and extremely quaint with a lot of interesting items and reading material about the areas history. If you have any questions about past happenings, Dave is very well read and more than willing to share his knowledge of Wells and Barkerville. If you're looking for a nice quiet getaway, where you're surrounded by really nice down to earth people, Wells, BC is where you'll find it. Thank you again so very much Cheryl and Dave! Dave and Lara
